Call for Papers: ACGCC Undergraduate Conference
Friday, May 11, 2007
UC Santa Barbara
The American Cultures & Global Contexts Center (ACGCC) is seeking presentations by UCSB undergraduate students for our first annual undergrad conference. The conference will provide a space for undergrads to share cutting edge work and to gain experience in academic presentation in a more relaxed and collegial setting.
We welcome more traditional academic presentations, such as essays, as well as more creative projects like websites, short stories, short plays, short films, poetry, and songs. Presentations should be no longer than 15 minutes and fit with the center's research focus of American cultures and global contexts. Projects linked to this year's center theme of human rights are especially welcome and encouraged.
The conference has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2007. Please email us at
acgc.undergrads [at] gmail.com with your 100 to 250-word proposal by Monday, April 16, 2007. |
